NBA superstar Kevin Durant is defending defending champion Golden State Warriors due to his calf injury in the opening match of the Western Conference Finals against the Portland Trail Blazers.
The 30-year-old forward is not in the squad of the six-time champion for the first game of the series "best of seven" on Tuesday evening (local time) in Oakland.
According to Warriors coach Steve Kerr, the return of the Topscorers of the previous playoffs is not serious to predict.

"He's still in pain, has not even started, and we deliberately tried to be vague about the expected recovery time," said the 53-year-old.
Durant from injury in impressive condition
Durant, who has been named the most valuable player in the final series in the past two years, was in impressive shape until his injury in the fifth quarterfinal game against Houston Rockets.

With an average of 34.2 points, the two-time Olympic champion is by far the most successful shooter of the current finals.
